Kite Surfers Argyll

Kite Surfing  Ganavan Beach

Kite Surfing is one of the fastest growing sports in the UK.

Here in Argyll, on the West Coast of Scotland there are a tremendous number of venues and weather windows to practice this fast moving sport.

 

The Isle of Tiree, in the Hebrides, is Scotland’s hot spot for water sports, a mecca for wind surfers. Every October the island hosts a world championship windsurfing event,              the Tiree Wave Classic.

 

As you can see from these images I was able to catch three young hopefuls practicing their skills at Ganavan Beach in Oban and what an impressive display they gave!
