Oban Sea Kayak Race

Oban Sea Kayak Race - 4th September 2010

The inaugural Oban Sea Kayak Race around the Isle of Kerrera set off to a rousing start. There was a fantastic number of entrants (53 in all). With a fast and furious start,

under gusty and choppy conditions seeing our intrepid racers complete the course in 1 hour, 55 minutes and forty seconds.

with John Willacy taking 1st place.

 

What a fantastic first for Oban which also raised over

£1,200 for Oban RNLI - well  done to everyone!

May next years event be another roaring success!
