The Tobermory Otter
A brief visit to Tobermory during 2009 provided us with one of our most memorable wildlife experiences.
Whilst walking along the waterfront the otter came into view, sunbathing on the harbour steps and decking. We were privileged to obtain the beautiful video clip you see here.
This wee otter is one of about five that frequent the harbour at Tobermory
and as you can see the wee fellow is not
Shy, as the fisherman on the boat confirmed the otters regular visits.
I might add that our border collie Meg was also with us and was also beguiled by this otter.

Elvis RIP March 2010
After going missing for a few weeks, the friendly Otter with the famous name was found dead under an upturned boat in the harbour Tobermory, on the Isle of Mull.
During his lifetime, Elvis had become a local celebrity and was a favourite attraction with tourists.
